U.S. Makes Preliminary Countervailing Ruling on Epoxy Resins Imported from China, India, South Korea

On 10 September 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) issued a notice of preliminary countervailing ruling on imports of epoxy resins from China, India, South Korea, and Taiwan, with a preliminary ruling of 108.64% for Jiangsu Sanmu Group Co. Ltd. (Shandong Bluestar Dongda Chemical) and other producers/exporters in mainland China are all subject to a duty rate of 108.64 per cent, Indian producers/exporters are subject to a duty rate of 1.55 per cent to 113.83 per cent, and South Korean producers/exporters are subject to a duty rate of 0.74 per cent (trace) -0.89% (trace), and 1.32%-3.32% for producers/exporters in Taiwan, China. The U.S. Department of Commerce is expected to make a final countervailing determination on 21 January 2025. This case involves products under U.S. Customs code 3907.30.0000.

 

On 23 April 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated antidumping and countervailing investigations of epoxy resins imported from China, India, South Korea, and Taiwan, and an antidumping investigation of epoxy resins imported from Thailand.
